Agreement on Cooperation between the State Intellectual Property Office and Judicial Academy Signed


Following several years of successful cooperation in specialising judges and state attorneys in the field of intellectual property, the Agreement on Cooperation between the State Intellectual Property Office and Judicial Academy was signed on 14 March 2018 at the State Intellectual Property Office.

The Agreement was signed by Director General of the State Intellectual Property Office, Ms Ljiljana Kuterovac and Director General of the Judicial Academy, Ms Andrea Posavec Franić, and the signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Judicial Academy, Ms Maja Marija Fuchs, Secretary General of the Judicial Academy and Ms Dijana Mandić, Head of Department for the Professional Training of Judicial Trainees, Judicial Advisors and Judicial Officials and the host representatives, Ms Ana Rački Marinković, Deputy Director General and Ms Marija Šiša Hrlić, Head of Copyright and Related Rights and the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights Department.

The Agreement defines the frame for further cooperation aiming at promoting knowledge in the field of intellectual property rights and raising awareness of its importance and modalities of the aforementioned cooperation focused on professional training of judicial officials and advisors in this specialist field.

This was an occasion for both parties again to express their satisfaction with the cooperation they have had so far in developing and implementing activities of professional training of judicial officials and advisors in the field of intellectual property and in invoking ever greater interest expressed by representatives of courts and state attorney offices exactly in these education programmes.
